Well, having pencilled in the date yesterday i got the quote through today, 4650 with BMI in Bucks, better than i thought - i knew they were revising prices and id guessed on 5K. Its odd, i stil havent told my other half that i've booked the date but i guess its mainly because i know he's not that supportive.
We were having a chat about it this evening and he said he was going to pay for it to be done - big surprise to me who has saved the money myself, i told him id had the quote  through today and when i said the price he said it was way too much ( i told him about IM being 5.5k + and he nearly fell over) and to wait until we have loads of free cash as my nose isnt that bad - this from the man who just spent 50K on a car..., i guess its because he is from the whole transform saying 2.8K research world and doesnt seem to realise that you get what you pay for these days.
Its so hard, i want his support but i guess i pay the price from having kept the whole thing to myself for years, even my best friend of 26 years hadnt realised that was why i never appear in any photos since we were mid 20's.....
Well, im off to see my dad with the kids for a few days, i'm looking forward to a bit of space and to catching up with my bestest mates. Just got to keep my chin up i guess xx

Ok, i've booked my date... 12th April with MT in Buckinghamshire. I can't quite believe ive done it, have told my closest friends who all said they never realised i hated my nose and hadnt ever noticed it. Funny hey, such a big thing to me ( literally) and my friends really dont notice it. I now see how they say people wont know you've had it done they will just think you look great. So, i've called my friend and booked her to nanny, my best mate has said she'll drop me if my other half is too busy ( this may sound awful, but i made a deal with the devil when i met a workaholic) . Although he has said he will support me through this all which for him is a big thing as usually his life axis revolves squarely around himself :)
So.. off to digest the info i guess and get used to the fact that in less than 2 months i'll be free of my nose!

On my way to a new nose

Ok, here goes.....
I'm embarking on the journey to get myself a new nose, i guess i've always hated mine, its got a hump, is too big and i've felt for years that my nose enters a room way before i do! My partner thinks im nuts, he says he loves me nose and all but i've spent ages trying to explain to him that whilst thats great, it me that lives with this nose and me that feels the need to improve it.
I've now seen 2 surgeon's and i think i've made my choice. The first i saw DMcK was great, a big specialist in his field but bizarrely i think i prefer the 2nd, MT who is a specialist but i really felt he was more in tune with what i wanted and also took great pains to explain what the possible problems etc were. So, im waiting the quote and then i've got to ring his secretary and pencil in a date - i've got a 3 week window in April where im changing childmidners and so have a friend Nannying for me - she'll be living in and im hoping she can help me lots!!
