Hi Pasha

I did indeed buy it. Used it for 2 weeks (4 treatments) and can't really work out what it was doing - but it was doing something - fine lines seemed to be going and deeper lines seemed to be getting less. Didnt notvie any tightening.I did have microderm a few days before starting it, so wasnt sure if the improvement was from that, so was waiting for the full 6 weeks before posting.

However, I am away on holiday at present - took it with me with every intention of using it, but haven't......

I am going to start again when I get home at the weekend.

As to using it - Its a bit of a slog to start with - and I needed 1/2 hr to do my whole face not the 20 mins as stated. Once I started, however, it was quite easy and relaxing and a bit addictive - quite a pleasant feeling. I had to use it on high setting from the start (there's low, medium and high) - may be my male skin. As to fat loss - havent noticed any yet.

The jury is out -

Great! Well keep us posted on the final outcome. I think to some degree, these devices must be doing something at a deeper level.

I have a Cleo II which I hear mixed reports about... but to be honest it gets the blood circulating and I always look a lot more refreshed on the days when I have used it .....

Can't wait to hear how you get on and may even get one for myself !!

Thanks for the reply!

Review of Tripollar Stop

Postby Stephen » Thu Oct 15, 2009 5:51 pm

Well, I have now been using the tripollar stop for 6 weeks plus and I am ready to report!

It has been really useful as this experience has made me think long and hard about previous treatments that I have had.

Anyway my conclusions are:

• There is a definite improvement directly after treatment and usually for the next day both in wrinkle reduction and slight tightening of the skin

• After 6 weeks of using it twice a week I can say that there is a very small improvement generally in both wrinkle reduction and tightening of the skin – slightly more than a good treatment cream could achieve. I am now supposed to use as required to keep the effect but think I would need to carry on at twice a week (which I definitely won’t!)

• I think the improvement is temporary and superficial and probably down to swelling rather than anything else – hence the best improvement straight afterwards. (I have noticed this before with other in-clinic treatments – you look good straight after (because of slight swelling) and then return to normal once healing has taken place.

• The procedure took me twice as long to carry out as it said in the instructions (it took my face longer to reach the required temperature) and I purposefully used it for longer than stated after that - the longer I used it, the better the results, although I limited it to no more than 10 mins longer

• Once started the procedure was comfortable and quite relaxing, but a chore to put 2 hrs (2 X treatments) aside a week. If you also do your neck (which I did) – it takes even longer

• There was no fat loss

• You have to use the company’s gel – which costs £25 a pot and lasted me about 12 treatments (face and neck)

• I will, however, still use it as I like the immediate effect and it will be useful for special occasions

Would I recommend it? If you are paying £1k+ for thermage or titan, you might want to try this. Providing you can put in the time and effort and are aware the results are not amazing, yes.

It’s definitely a mark 1 and I think there will be a more refined product shortly – you might want to wait………..

Wow - thanks for such great detail. I am very tempted to buy one now. Like you say, there could be an improved version on the horizon so I may wait a short while.

However I did buy the original Cleo many many years ago which I was quite happy with. I bought the second version when it came out years later - I still prefer the first.

Thanks for your help and good to hear no fat loss ...
